Autumn News From The Celtic Royal Hotel, Caernarfon

Our Grand & historic hotel, was erected by the 2nd Earl of Uxbridge circa 1794. Featuring an impressive entrance hall, wood-panelled corridors and original Doric columns, amongst the few characteristics of these impressive features, you can also expect; a warm welcome, exceptional service and delicious cuisine.

We welcome you to visit us this Autumn and Winter. With our luxurious leisure facilities and being located a short walk from Caernarfon castle, we are sure to help you create some wonderful memories.

Aber Falls Waterfall, Our favourite Autumn walk

A family friendly circular Aber Falls (Rhaeadr Fawr in Welsh) walk to the spectacular Rhaeadr Fawr waterfall that returns to Aber via the North Wales Path, high above the valley. This walk follows an easy gradient, except for the steeper descent at the walk’s end which requires a little more care in the wet. The waterfall is at it is most splendid after heavy rains.

Great for packing a light picnic to enjoy at the top, and a walk with a path suitable for a pram.

With a car park at the bottom, and a 20minute drive from the hotel, it is one of our favorite local walks.

    Coach holiday

    28th January 2019

We had a most enjoyable stay. It was a delight in the restaurant to be served by pleasant waiting staff who had clearly been well trained.

I stayed at the hotel with my husband and 2 children 8 and 10. The room was comfortable, large and spotless, the communal spaces in the hotel had character and charm and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient and the swimming pool a real added bonus. The proximity to the town was a wonderful bonus - 5 minutes walk to the castle and main square. Yes the decor in the room is a little dated, but this hotel represents fantastic value for money. There is so much to do in the area, it's a great base to climb Snowdon and visit the Zip World centres. We didn't have time to visit the Welsh Mountain Zoo or do the Railway - two nights in the area just wasn't enough. we can't wait to go again!
